What services count?

Lauren Haponski Apr 13, 2017 11:05AM EDT

(1)do service hours "required" for religion class count? (2)do service hours at church, ie. altar server at Mass, Eucharistic Minister/passing out communion assist count? as they saw the religious comment in the list of what hours can be used. I have not had a problem with church assistance by the students at other schools. Thank you.

Volunteers must complete unpaid service which Certifying Organizations (CO) certify to award a PVSA. Certifying Organizations must receive or facilitate the volunteer service.

Eligible service must be unpaid and cannot be court-ordered. Most voluntary service is eligible, with the following exceptions: political lobbying, religious instruction, conducting worship service, proselytizing, and serving only family members.

Furthermore service hours performed for school credit is accepted.

In service,
