Where to Add ROS Key on Child's Profile

Sydney Kempson Jun 19, 2017 11:04AM EDT

My daughter recently was invited by her school to sign up for the Presidential Service Award, and registered following the instructions. However, there is nowhere to add the school's ROS key. What am I missing?

For children under 15, parent consent for participation is required before you the child can access full account features and view their profile, to include editing a profile to enter a ROS key. Where access is limited, the child can log in, but will not be directed to their account profile. Limited account functionality almost always indicates a minor that needs parental consent to participate.

When creating an account, children under 15 will be required to provide a parent’s email address. The parent consent email is sent automatically upon completion of the child’s volunteer application. If the parent does not receive this email, please check the junk mail folder. If it is not in the junk mail folder, the parent should contact PVSA Customer Support to provide the following information:

- Your child’s name, email address, and location (city and state) – this is used to locate the volunteer account
- Your email address
- A brief statement indicating your consent for your child’s participation (e.g., “I consent for my daughter to participate and use the PVSA website”).
